About the Performing ArtsThe Mt. Pleasant Performing Arts Department offers students the opportunity to engage in the arts through performance-based curriculum. Opportunities to participate in our performing arts ensembles are available to all students, regardless of prior experience or level of training.
Our current classes and ensembles at MPMS include, band, choir, orchestra, and fiddle club. Students in eighth-grade band have the opportunity to participate in the MPHS Marching Band. At MPHS, students have the opportunity to participate in Band, Choir, Orchestra, and Play-Production, during the school day. After school ensembles include, Chamber Singers, Fiddle Club, Theatre, and Marching Band. To learn more about a specific ensemble, click on the tabs above. A Tradition of ExcellenceMt. Pleasant Public Schools has a strong tradition of excellence in the arts that began over 100 years ago. The MPHS Band, Choir, and Orchestra, regularly participate in state festivals. The MPHS Marching Band participates in the national Bands of America competition in Indianapolis, Indiana bi-annually.
